Roads / Railways Many of the roads & railways are implemented by BTL (Build-Transfer-Operate) scheme and the sizes of these projects are relatively large. KIAMCO is investing in roads & railways such as the Gangnam Beltway, Yongin-Seoul Express Highway and the Shin-bundang subway line.

Major Investment Projects

Gangnam Beltway - Gangnam Beltway is scheduled to start operating on May 2014 as an urban beltway between Siheung-dong, Geumcheon-Gu, Seoul and Umyeon-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul in order to ease the neighboring area¡¯s traffic congestion. It directly connects Gwanak-Gu and Dongjak-Gu, the two typical congested areas in Seoul. KIAMCO has invested 380 billion KRW including 85% of the equity stakes.
Yongin-Seoul Express Highway - To solve the traffic congestion between Suwon and Yangjae on Gyeongbu Expressway and to prepare for an increase in traffic related to land development in the southern capital area, it connects Segok-dong, Gangnam-Gu, Seoul and Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do and has been operating since June 2009. KIAMCO has invested 116.8 billion KRW including 25% of the equity stakes.
Shin-bundang subway line - Shin-bundang subway line is a city metro with a total length of 20.8km that connects Gangnam, Seoul¡¯s busiest commercial area, and Pangyo, newly developed residential and commercial area. It has been operating since October 2011, and KIAMCO has invested 350 billion KRW including 24% of the equity stakes.
